The “Beijing International Tourism Expo 2011” hosted by the Beijing Tourism Development Commission was held at the China National Convention Centre from June 17 – 19, 2011.

Besides inviting the domestic and foreign buyers, BITE also focused on inviting buyers from travel agencies across various provinces and cities to carry out negotiations with domestic and foreign exhibiting companies. Officials of the foreign embassies in China, representatives from foreign travel and news agencies in Beijing, central ministries and commissions, various commissions, offices and bureaus in Beijing visited the exposition.

BITE 2011 has successfully recruited 790 exhibitors, 200 buyers from 80 countries and regions and 24 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across a total gross area of 21,000 square metres.

In the Hall 1, buyers and visitors could meet managers from the largest and most well-known travel agencies in China, such as China International Travel Service, China Travel Services Head Office, CYTS Tours, CAISSA Touristic, China Comfort Travel, UTour, Jetour Holiday, CITIC Travel, China Women Travel Service, ATC Tour, China Peace International Tourism, BTG, Wuzhouxing, and more.

In the Hall 3, international exhibitors from various countries and regions presented their rich and diverse cultures and tourism resources. Our magazines MICE CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE had a stand in the international section and the interest from the part of Chinese buyers was higher than our expectation. We did also advertisement in the catalogue of the exposition so clients would be able to visit also our website focused on promoting the Central and Eastern European region.
