IMEX 2008
The IMEX Trade Fair, one of the most extensive and important MICE trade events in the world, took place in Frankfurt am Main from 22 to 24 April.
This year brought several new things, including a very close-knit cooperation between IMEX and MPI (Meetings Professionals International), one of the most prominent organisation that represents professionals within the MICE travel buisness: corporate organisers, associations and voluntary organisations; employees of state institutions that are entitled to organise MICE events, MICE suppliers – DMC’s, hotels, transporters, convention bureaux; members of organisations focused on meeting management, including incentive agencies and houses.
Just before the IMEX Trade Fair, the prestigious MPI Conference was held in London, consequently it was possible to resume their meetings at the IMEX in Frankfurt.
Overall, this important trade fair facilitated many contacts, discussions, meetings, conferences and analyses of trends oriented at the MICE travel industry.
Our magazine is a Media partner of the show, which means that we have a designated spot in the Media Café, where our magazines are on display for the hosted buyers and visitors to take. All 310 copies were instantly picked up. Meetings of media representatives with exhibitors and hosted buyers also took place at the Media Café.
