CEE hotel market is poised for growth as the largest number of hotel transactions totaling over EUR305,9 million took place in the last quarter of 2013. This makes it the largest transactions movement from 2010. As the region leads tourism in Europe, investors regain witnessed 7 percent increase in tourism rate which is a very promising number given the maturity of the destination. Meanwhile CIS region continues to attract international hotel chains. The local governments are adopting strong extensive strategies for tourism development aiming at attracting more investment in the hospitality sector as well as improving common standards for tourist services quality. In fact 2014 was declared the year of Tourism in the CIS region.

In order to address and combat the most pressing issues faced by the regional hospitality sector, International Business Council has emphasized on the importance of Leaders in Hospitality CEE & CIS Summit that will take place on the 14th – 15th of May in Warsaw, Poland and once again will host over C-level 200 hoteliers from across the region.
