TRAVEX is an important trade fair for the travel and tourism industry for countries of the ASEAN – Association of Southeast Asian Nations. TRAVEX, together with the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) represent one of the most important events for the travel industry in the region of South-Eastern Asia.

Each year, the exhibiting companies and delegates come mainly from the 10 ASEAN countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Each year, this important event takes place in one of the countries of the ASEAN. For the 2011 edition, the selected country is Cambodia. The venue, Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre, is located in its capital city, Phnom Penh. TRAVEX and ATF will be held between 19 and 21 January.

The organisers, TTG ASIA Media, announced that ATF and TRAVEX 2011 have recorded strong interest and the exhibitors have snapped up more booths than initially expected. This 2011 ASEAN leisure travel trade event showcasing the largest contingent of ASEAN destination products and services will also feature a larger show with 25 % more booth space than last year.

Our magazines, MICE CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE, as invited media, will participate in the event. Our relations with the region of southeastern Asia are expanding and there is a lot of interesting cooperation with countries of the ASEAN. We will be promoting the CEE region to professionals in tourism, especially from the sectors of luxury travel, incentive and MICE, as the countries of CEE have always been very attractive for visitors and business people from Southeastern Asia, especially from Singapore.
