With a surface of 238, 391 square kilometres, Romania is the largest country in southeastern Europe. The center of the country is dominated by Carpathian Mountains, with 14 of its mountains ranges reaching above the altitude of 2,000 meters.

SMOKING
Currently smoking is not allowed on planes, on buses and on most trains. Luxury hotels have designed no-smoking floors and most restaurants must have no-smoking sections. Smoking is also prohibited in public places such as hospitals, concert halls and theatres.
